As we now understand, when someone who has COVID-19 coughs or exhales they release droplets of infected fluid which can fall on nearby surfaces and objects, such as desks, tables or telephones. Therefore, there is a higher risk that people could contract COVID-19 by simply touching contaminated surfaces or objects, and then touching their eyes, nose, or mouth.

There are simple things we can all do to limit the risk of spreading COVID-19 within the workplace such as:

  • • Promote regular and thorough hand washing by employees and all who enter your workspace (such as by installing hand sanitizers in high volume locations and ensuring all areas with sinks have plenty of hand soap)
  • • Encourage staff who are feeling unwell to not come into the workplace and to work remotely if possible or take a sick day
  • • Promote good respiratory hygiene (such as providing face masks, tissues and closed waste bins for disposal)
  • • Ensuring your workplace is clean and hygienic

ClassroomHigh traffic surfaces and objects such as desks, tables, phones and keyboards etc., need to be cleaned and properly disinfected regularly to avoid contamination and the potential spread of COVID-19 and it is advised that all workplaces develop a cleaning strategy.

When developing your cleaning strategy, it is important to evaluate your workplace, school or business specific needs while being flexible to adjust as guidance, protocols and your specific circumstances change. We now know the virus that causes COVID-19 can be killed using the right products, a list of approved EPA cleaning products can be viewed here. Utilizing only EPA approved hard-surface disinfectants RCCN DKI works with each client to develop a case situation specific service plan.

Our team, comprised of skilled IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) certified professionals are trained on working with biological hazards (such as but not limited to COVID-19). Wearing certified PPE protective suites, booties and full mask respirators and are experienced in working with our clients in developing these strategies based on their individual needs and situations.

We offer 3 cleaning service options to help combat COVID-19 while putting your staff and clients at ease:
